100-летию Revolution in the private Museum will open the exhibition "Alexander Labas. October" @- paintings and drawings from the revolutionary cycle of the famous Ostoura
Alexander Labas was an eyewitness to the revolutionary events. In 1917, 17-летний teenager his own eyes out on the streets, heard the roar of explosions, watched clashes of sailors, soldiers. These memories are the artist, later recorded in his work, including in the thematic cycle "October".
the exhibition At IRRI, the audience will see the work of "Sailor" (1930), "Kremlin" (1959), "Night in October" (1929), "the Morning after the battle" (1929) and other masterpieces from the collections of the Tretyakov gallery, The Russian Museum, Pushkin Museum im. A. S. Pushkin and Labas-Фонда. For the first time for this exhibition from the Kostroma art Museum will bring the important painting "self-Portrait on the background of October" (1978). The exhibition will include archive photographs 1917-1923 years from the collection of the Multimedia Art Museum, depicting the striking events of the Revolution. Also the exhibition presents documentary materials, including @- a personal matter of Alexander Labas from the State military archive. And everyone, the organizers promise to arrange screenings of the film "October" by Sergei Eisenstein, filmed with the car in 1933.
on 1 October, the exhibition from 11:00 to 20:00 will be free. In other days the cost of the ticket is 300 RUB.
