Today, January 28, in Gallery "Triumph" exhibition opens Haim Sokol « Dead letter ».
Haim Sokol - the youngest artist, presented in the main draft 3rd Moscow Biennale. In the gallery of "Triumph" he billed for the first time and show their new work.
Portfolio Sokol turned to the topic of deforestation and loss of connections between people, the isolation of the individual and the invisible presence in human consciousness. Exhibition "dead letter" includes sculpture "Three arches. The model for this work served as the triumphal Arch of Titus in Rome. The Arch of Titus was built in honor of the absolute victory of the emperor in Jerusalem in 70 BC the year. e. Sokol is drawn to the physical embodiment of that triumph, and the role of this victory to the memory of the Jewish people. Another new work of this exhibition - a street installation "On Demand". Models mailboxes resemble cemetery monuments and failed correspondence. The exhibition also includes new drawings ( "Maps. Ways and formation") and objects from previous exhibitions of the artist.
The exhibition runs until February 19, 2010.
