Today at 16.00 in the halls of Rah (Prechistenka, 21) opens an exhibition of Daniel Mitlyanskaya (1924-2006)

Today, July 14, at 16 o'clock in the halls of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts (Prechistenka, 21) opens an exhibition of the honored artist of Russia, Corresponding Member of Russian Academy of Fine Arts Daniel Mitlyanskaya (1924-2006).

The exhibition includes sculptural works made over the past twenty years, a period when, as believed to be the plastic language zazvuchal artist in full force and effect.

Daniel Mitlyanskaya known to many of our contemporaries as the author of the monument «Requiem of 1941. To my classmates who had died in the war », installed on the facade of the school № 110 of the Nikitsky gate, where he studied; Steles with bas-reliefs on themes of IA Krylov's fables in the Patriarch's Ponds, the figures of animals on the facade of the theater beasts VL Durov (together with B. Tyulinym) sculpture «Monument of Freedom» (with A. Grigoriev), «pierced Pegasus» (with G. Shilina), memorial boards Sakharov, VN Domogatskomu, Alesya Adamovich, Dmitry Cold .

easel works by the artist executed in complex mixed media (wood, ceramics, textiles, metal). In a series of sculptural «Books of the Bible» master turns to the eternal themes of good and evil, loyalty and treachery, the difficult search for truth. Bold imagination wizard interprets the biblical stories and motifs freely and unexpectedly, vigorously destroying our minds already-established stereotypes.

The exhibition also includes works from the series «Report of the Moscow intelligentsia adjustment period» and «Sweet Europe» ( «Spain», «France», «United Kingdom»), where there is a brilliant author's ability to see and feel the reality - Distinguishing and at the same time unusual and festive.

The papers Mitlyanskaya performed a grotesque, sometimes on the verge of primitive, but plastically perfect, we know there are situations and scenes, creating a surprisingly dramatic and yet joyful world.
