The museum city Lodev an exhibition of one of the most important representatives of «Paris School» Moses Kislinga

June 14, in the medieval town Lodev in the south of France opened the first major museum exhibition of Kislinga Moses (Moïse Kisling) . The exhibition, which displays 75 works, composed of two parts. The first part is devoted to works created Kislingom in times of his youth: from the moment you arrive in Paris in 1910 until the end of the First World War. The second part of the exhibition presents the most important paintings, created between 1930 and 1950.

Moses Kisling was born in 1891 in the Polish city of Krakow. He studied painting with the artist Joseph Pankevicha (Josef Pankiewisz), who advised him to go to Paris. Kisling was one of the artists who left their homeland before the war, so that, arriving in the capital of France, to become a party to the movement, which later called «Paris School». This movement includes such authors as Marc Chagall , Haim Soutine , Amedeo Modigliani (Amedeo Modigliani), as well as Osip Tsadkina , Jacques Lipschitz , Pinhusa Kremen and others. Kisling quickly became one of the most visible representatives of «Paris School».

Shortly after his arrival in Paris a young young painter met with Juan GRIS (Juan Gris) and Pablo Picasso (Pablo Picasso), and later with Soutine and Modigliani. The latter became his closest friend. In the studio Kislinga located on Joseph Street Bar (not far from the Luxembourg Gardens), came Max Jacob (Marc Jacob), Jean Cocteau (Jean Cocteau), Raymond Radige (Raymond Radiguet), other artists and writers.

In 1919, Druet Gallery in an exhibition Kislinga immediately made him famous.

At Kislinga art - portraits, women «nude», still lifes and landscapes - has been influenced by many famous artists. First, his main inspiration was the painting of Paul Cézanne (Paul Cézanne), then early Cubism, and later, his art became more «Classical». In the interwar period, the influence of classicism was particularly strong. Creativity painters «Paris School» absorbed the influence of different artistic trends - from impressionism to expressionism, although each of its members went their own ways.

Portfolio Kislinga compared primarily with paintings of Cezanne, and then with the creations of Picasso, Juan GRIS, fovistov, Andre Derena (André Derain), Modigliani, as well as Henri Matisse (Henri Matisse) and Pierre-Auguste Renoir (Pierre - Auguste Renoir). Kisling did not associate themselves with a certain artistic trends, he first sought to express their own emotions. His palette of bright and diverse, its image figurativen, technology for the most part generic. The artist has sought to give his works and cheerful sensuality.

Before the war, Kisling was a very popular artist, his paintings were exhibited on the set of personal and group exhibitions in France and other countries. But in 1940 the artist had to leave the United States. In occupied France, his stay was very dangerous: he was a Jew, and had an active anti-fascist activities.

After the war, in 1946, Kisling returned to France. He worked in Paris, in a workshop on the streets of Val-de-Grace, and sometimes traveled to the town sanarium-sur-Mer, located on the Mediterranean coast. In 1949 he finally settled in sanarium, which continued to talk about the joy of living landscapes, still life, portrait.

Moses Kisling died in 1953, shortly after his last exhibition, arranged in the city of Kang-sur-Mer.
