Of particular significance is the project «The latest demonstration» (1992), «Evidence» (1993), and in 2001 and 2006 - «The returned value of 1, 2» (Part 2, together with I. Chuikov).

Semen Faibisovich belongs to a generation of artists of the Soviet underground.

From 1976 to 1988 he exhibited in the basement of City schedules at the Little Georgian. Since the late 1980's, his work began to cause great concern in the west. Already in 1987, they can be seen in galleries in Alexandria, Chicago, New York, and in 1988 - in Cologne, Edmene, Basel and Bern. In 1987-89 years Faibisovich made several portraits of the CPSU Central Committee secretary general M. Gorbachev for the cover of American magazine Time.

Initially, his paintings classified as photorealism, because technically it was based on photographs. But later, thanks to Vladimir Paperny, it received another definition - «gipnorealizm». Faibisovich wrote Soviet people on the beach, in turn, in the Moscow subway, the train station in Moscow train, bus and festive demonstrations. He is an architect by education, «building» canvases - monuments departing Soviet world, with quality hypnotist to make a long and carefully peer in the surrounding reality.

Over the years, his work is increasingly valued by connoisseurs and collectors. Today, one of the most famous of his works - «Portrait of Lev Rubinstein» (1987) is in the collection of the first private museum in Russia, and the results of recent auctions in London Faibisovich the author the most expensive work of artists living in Russia today.

In 1995, at the time left Faibisovich classes in painting. As established by that time, the monumental, photographic portrait of the exact age of flicker, animated «hypnotizing» Artist's gaze, the world left the Soviet way of life, world, transformed to the metaphysical depth. But come the new times, which, as demonstrated by the artist, requiring other approaches. And Faibisovich turned to literature, journalism, took up photography and video.

Now, after a long hiatus, Faibisovich came back to work as a painter. It is no coincidence that the exhibition of new works in the gallery called Ridzhina COMEBACK ( «The Return»). This is not only the return of the painter, looking for a new look at the new reality, not just the return of its heroes - people from the subway cars and bus stops. Most importantly - artist Faibisovich again interesting to gaze at the surrounding world. The current exhibition features 15 new works created Faibisovich in 2007-2008.
