to the Tretyakov Gallery Krymsky Val continues to provide creative artists of the second half of XX century. Following the close of regular major exhibitions in Moscow and Leningrad artists of this period in the halls of the gallery opens personal exhibition Farhad Khalilov, People's Artist of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan since 1987, a representative of a large range of contemporary artists who studied in Russia and continued their creative work outside the our country. The exhibition was organized jointly by the State Tretyakov Gallery and the International Confederation of Unions of Artists.

Farkhad Qurban oglu Khalilov (born 1946) said about himself in the late 1960's - early 1970's as bright and original identity at first all-union youth fairs and immediately drew the attention of the artistic community and art admirers. He began his studies at the Azerbaijan State Art College. A. Azim-Zade (1961-1966), and then continued his studies in Moscow, where attended Higher Art and Industrial College (former Stroganov) (1966) and the Moscow Polygraphic Institute (1969-1975), in which his work was highly appreciated by top educators A. Goncharov and BM Basov.

Chief «university» in fate Khalilova became an informal artistic life in Moscow 1960-1970's. He quickly took a seat in the circle of talented young artists such as T. Nazarenko, Natalia Nesterova, A. Sitnikov, a lot of time spent among the artists nonkoformistov, visited the house the exhibition, contact with I. Kabakov, O. Tselkovym, J. Cooper, E. Chubarova, G. Basyrovym, art Yamschikovym S., Yu Kolpino, and many others. Khalilov was her in a special bohemian and artistic environment in which not only hotly debated new items of modern Western art and works by Russian avant-garde, not available at that time to the public, but also create their own work. It is free to orient themselves in the space of world culture and yet does not break off communication with the national tradition. After his return home he was elected chairman of the Artists' Union of Azerbaijan. Moscow to this day remains the artist's favorite city, a place not only companionship, but also a source of inspiration.

The main motivation Khalilova landscapes - Sea and types Apsheron: Zagulba, Buzovny, Goradil, Nardaran, Mashtaga. For his works are characterized by a generalized treatment of color and space, the lack of narrative. Close minimalist abstract works depicting the often reduced to a mark, figuratively and poetically expressing the impression of the nature of the south. The genre, in which the artist can be described as a symbolic landscape. Creativity is Khalilova blend of Russian and European painting traditions and oriental culture.

At a retrospective exhibition of more than 30 years of creativity Farhad Khalilov, shows about 80 items. These paintings from the cycle «Meeting» (1983-2007), «Memoirs» (2003-2006), «Patterns of land» (1999-2006), lists a series of graphic «Spring 1984» (1984), «Late Nights» (1984), selected works 1970-1980's and in recent years. In the exhibition includes works from the collections of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Moscow, the International Confederation of Unions of artists, private collections, as well as in the author's property.

The exhibition will run until May 18.
