For the first auction the auction house Pioner & Co made a bet on the big names: Manet, Renoir, Matisse, léger, Dalí, Hirst, Miro, Goncharova, Larionov, Kandinsky, Zadkine, Plavinsky, Tselkov, Rabin, Avvakumov, Yankilevsky, Shemyakin submitted to the lottery drawing.

Among the paintings and drawings — early Zverev, bright Vechtomov, concise Kabakov, early and late Yakovlev, rare Siddur, paradoxical sketch Duo Vinogradov & Dubosarsky, naughty Kosolapov, metaphysical Unknown, surreal Syurvazha, timeless Khamdamov, unique Erte.

On three lots of the auction organizers pay special attention:

• Unique collage of Alexei Kruchenykh SHAQ, 1922, (lot 17), where torn from books sheets written phrases that the author masterfully rhymes, complementing their "ornaments" in the form of Suprematist applications;

• portrait of the artist V. N. Nemukhin (lot 46) written by Anatoly Zverev: this work, like several others in this auction comes from the collection of the former Italian Ambassador to the USSR and Soviet unofficial art Giovanni Magliola and is not only artistic but also historical interest;

• Top lot of this auction — livre d'artiste (artist's book) by Marc Chagall "the Dead souls" (lot 169), published in 1948. The peculiarity of this book is not only in its almost perfect condition — remained even publishing copies not only in its full completeness @all mdas 96 etchings of illustrations created by the artist in 1923-1927. and 11 sheets created specially for book publication in 1948, and not so much in the unique illustration on the title page, and in the history of the owner of this book, who it was signed by Marc Chagall.

Herbert Landsberger (Landsberger H. Herbert) was "brother" by a happy salvation the artist: this German Jew, who fled from the Nazis to France, then Spain and through Portugal to the USA, was rescued by the same man, and Marc Chagall, as well as more than 2,000 famous people of Europe, including Hannah Arendt, andré Breton, Max Ernst, Claude Levi-Стросс, Jean ARP and many others.

Sam Herbert and his wife, Giz Landsberger has done a lot to restore the memory of this great man — journalist from the United States Ariane Freie, who in 1995, together with Raoul Wallenberg and Oscar Schindler, was awarded the medal of the Righteous of the world.
