In Hamburg held its first auction of the auction house ArtMaximum

Saturday, March 3, in a cosy room on the street Valentinskamp that is located in the heart of Hamburg, passed the debut auction house "Artmaximum". Interesting and diverse collection has attracted a large number of collectors. Of the 240 lots were sold 133 for a total of 64@now;995 euros. Note the international mix of buyers: active participation in the bidding had players from Russia, USA, Germany, UK and France. For online-трансляцией auction was watched from many points of the globe@now;— in particular, from Australia and Japan.

now tell you a bit about the most notable sales.

Russian ballet, conquered Europe after the "Russian seasons" by Sergei Diaghilev, and a century later wins the hearts of art historians, collectors and just lovers of beauty. A vivid illustration of this thesis became much attention of collectors to the ballet theme, recorded in our bid. For example, photographs of the inimitable Anna Pavlova at a more than reasonable start at 20 euros went with a tenfold excess. Sustainable demand for handouts of performances by legendary stars of the Russian ballet@now;— already mentioned Anna Pavlova (440 euros at the start of the 220), Natalia Trouhanova (320 euros at the start of the 150) and IDA Rubinstein(480 Euro at the start of the 340). Several issues of the popular French weekly "Comoedia illustré" devoted "to Russian seasons", with covers and illustrations by Leon Bakst and Alexander Benois, were sometimes left with a twofold excess of starts. The program of the gala evening of the "Russian ballet", held in Lyon the Grand theatre in 1913, starting from 440 euros, after a stubborn fight were acquired for 1@is now;100 euros.

Perhaps the most amazing sale of this part of the auction: only a single sheet from the magazine "Femina" with the image of Vaslav Nijinsky in the role of a Ghost Rose from the ballet "the Vision of Rose" the buyer paid 340 euros, kept the pressure from several competitors. Success and enjoyed books of the masters and scholars of the ballet: "Contemporary ballet" Valerian Svetlov was sold at the start (300 euros), a monograph of Alexey Sidorov and Fedor Lopukhov left with two@- and three-fold excess of the starting price (for 480 and 320 euros, respectively).

the Next thematic section of the auction was devoted to the Soviet children's books 1920-30-х years. Many of these publications are true masterpieces of printing, the product of the joint creative work of writers and artists. The excellent preservation in the auction of the specimens caused great excitement among collectors and the only ones turned dramatic, the truly fierce struggle. The totals are impressive: "All together," Olga guryan with drawings by Alexei Laptev went for 600 euros at the start 200, owner-картинка "Parade of the red army", designed by Alexander Deineka, was sold for 1200 euros at the start 500, a "Civil war" Nikolay Zabolotsky with drawings by Alice Poret was awarded to the winner 1500 Euro starting in 3 times lower.

a large part of the auction collection was tied to Soviet unofficial culture, the attractiveness of which is growing every year. Inscripti, documents and photographs of Joseph Brodsky and his entourage, enjoying steady demand on the Russian auctions, successfully"proved" and on German soil. So, the two photographs of Brodsky's early 1960-х years if you start at 260 euros left for 1@is now;200 Euro and 1@is now;600 euros. A pleasant surprise was selling for 1@is now;600 Euro (the start was modest@now;— 200) photographs of the poet, made in Stockholm in the days of the awarding of the Nobel prize. 4@now;800 Euro (start — 2000) gave the purchaser for handwritten letters of Sergei Dovlatov, one of the key figures of the unofficial Leningrad. The figure recorded by the hammer blow, good, but not amazing: documents and autographs by the author of "Zone" and "Compromise" relating to his early doemigratsionny period are very rare. Record was the sale of autograph poems by Alexander Galich "Golgotha", dedicated to Elena Nevzglyadova. The final rate — 6000 euros — exactly three times exceeded the starting price. Finally, note the continued interest of collectors to the heritage of transporantov — vanguard group (А. Ник, Б. Констриктор, А. Таршис, С. Сигей), based in the provincial Yeysk and who published the samizdat magazine "Transponance". The rooms at this quaint magazine, published only a few copies were sold at a consistently high level, exceeding the starting price by 3-4 times. For example, the latest "Transponans", published in January 1987, went to a new owner for 2@now;600 Euro at start 700.

the first auction, we have set the bar high for ourselves and hope that our future auctions will be as varied, interesting and successful.
