The state Hermitage and the Apple company made a film-прогулку the Museum

Director Aksinya Gog and the crew managed to solve almost unsolvable task. According to the operator-постановщика David Chasnikov, "remove the project in one shot without any glue — is something that has not yet managed to make anyone in cinema." A separate decision was required by the issues of the limited daylight hours in Saint-Петербурге (this had to be a strict schedule of plans of the halls and the order of shooting in them), the difference in the lighting of different scenes and objects and how this difference takes the camera phone lens.

"Perhaps the most difficult was to work with a group of illuminators... Limitations of the Museum was affiliated with safety — could not accidentally damage what-либо. This means not only careful not to catch, but the maintenance of a certain temperature mode". However, to the credit of the team, all problems were solved. The shooting of the film showing one day in the life of the Museum, was eventually involved 233 sq m Museum grounds, a few hundred people: professional actors and dancers, one employee of the Hermitage, creative team, lighting designers, technical workers.

the Director of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky said that the project shows a new perspective on the Museum, it "displays the journey through the Hermitage of a person, the meditative view the exhibits, which is extremely important because in this way the modern viewer with a "video clip consciousness" learns to slow perception of Museum images". In words Piotrowski, "all this — the next stage of electronic aesthetics, when technologies begin to humanservices".

the State Hermitage Museum is not the first time positioning itself adept technology. So, in 2010, he was among the first 17 museums, has agreed to participate in the experimental the project Google Art Project, providing for digitizing a number of their exhibits. Earlier, in 2001, the Museum had a film of Alexander Sokurov "Russian ark". The picture won the prize for best visual representation at the international film festival in Toronto, was also mounted in the aesthetics of "one frame".

the Film "Hermitage — cinema trip on the great Museum" is part of Apple's "Shot on iPhone". The first part of this project — short film "Snowballs," directed by David Letch, has appeared in the network in December 2019.
