The exhibition will feature an inauthentic work identified after the last inspection of Museum funds

the Museum Ludwig in Cologne, one of the world's major collections of modern art holds in its funds more than 800 artworks created by the masters of Russian avant-garde. However, after the last events associated with the infamous exhibition of fakes of Russian avant-garde in Ghent, the Museum decided to recheck my collection. Found in result of inspection of the work, the authenticity of which is doubtful, will be presented in the exhibition project "Russian avant-garde Museum Ludwig: originals and fakes. Issues, research, explanations" (Russian Avant-Garde at the Museum Ludwig: Original and Fake. Questions, Research, Explanations), curators are Rita Kersting and Peter Mundt, and the opening is scheduled for fall 2020.

The exhibition will work to the public just over three months — from September 26, 2020 January 3, 2021.
