As reported by RBC with reference to the lawyer of the International Confederation of artists ' Union (the icau) Igor Stina, Wednesday 12 June, the Supreme court made the decision not in favor of the icau, the direct successor of the Union of artists of the USSR. The Confederation intends to appeal the decision.

the reason for the suit was the financial irregularities in the Confederation, including the lease of subordinate areas and selling in overseas auctions of works from the collection of the icau.
