In St. Petersburg, awarded the winners of the Prize named after Sergei Kuryokhin

The independent prize for contemporary art named after Sergei Kuryokhin since 2009 supports the idea of "Pop-Механики": the search for new forms of interaction between art, provocation, improvisation and unpredictability of creative result

the Award ceremony was held on 26 April 2017. Prize awarded for achieving the 2016. This year the ceremony was thought of artist and designer Andrey Bartenev, so out came the triumph of the avant-garde: little green men posters instead of words and whistles instead of applause.

the jury of the Award Kuryokhin includes Alexander Borovsky (RM), Anatoly Belkin (artist), Olga Shishko (Director of MediaArtLab), Catherine Vinnikova (CEO of Gibson Brands Russia and CIS), Anna Gor (NCCA "Arsenal"), Alexander Kahn (music critic), Alisa Prudnikova (ROSIZO), Vladimir Logutov (art-директор "Fund of Vladimir Smirnov and Konstantin Sorokin"), Eugenia Kikodze (Museum of Moscow), Alain Helou (Director of French Institute in Saint-Петербурге), Victoria Ilyushkina (Media Art Laboratory CYLAND), Olesya Turkina (state Russian Museum) and Alexander Rytov (Stella Art Foundation Director).
