Prado director Miguel Sugasa (Miguel Zugaza) said that the images on Google Earth helped him to check the quality of restoration work. He added that the new online gallery, you can eventually be considered as such paintings as the «garden of earthly pleasures», with its abundance of detail, which amazes even those who saw the canvas in the museum many times. But, according to Sugasy, even the exact photographic image, both on Google Earth, will never replace the originals. «They show the body pictures, but you will not find its soul - said the director. - You will find it only when I look at the original».
At the moment Prado - the only museum, «covered» Google Earth. The search giant has no plans done similar work with the masterpieces of other museums.
