The artist emigrated to England, where he became a research fellow of Fine Arts, University of Leeds. He traveled, visited America, India, Africa ...

Prokofiev paintings were exhibited in Moscow in the past: when he left the USSR in 1971, the artist left large collection of works by his friends, and in early 1990 gave all the museum Tsaritsyno, whose collection of contemporary art subsequently got the Tretyakov Gallery. Soon the museum's collection filled up with "English" works: the heirs of the painter have promised to donate part of the Tretyakov Gallery exhibits retrospectives.
