he Studied in St. Petersburg at the print workshop В. В. Матэ (1911), the Higher art school of painting, sculpture and architecture under the Imperial Academy of arts (1912-1913), he took lessons from В. И. Шухаева (1918).

he Lived in Leningrad. In early works he worked under a pseudonym Е. Нимич. Worked in the field of easel, books, journals, applied graphics; studied etching, lithography. Executed portraits, landscapes, animal studies and sketches; in 1921-1922 создал a few portraits of-миниатюр (wife, Э. К. Спадикова). Illustrated magazines "the Whole world", "Spark" (1911-1912), "the Sun of Russia" (1913-1914); painted for the "red newspaper" (1918), "Petrograd truth" (1919-1920; including created the title of the paper). Create designs of bookplates. She studied painting porcelain at the State porcelain factory (1920-е).

In 1920-30-х mainly illustrated books for publishers: sisters, mothers, "Surf", Academia, Lenizdat, and others. during the great Patriotic war was the siege of Leningrad. Completed posters: "Soldier, take revenge on the German bandits for the suffering of the Soviet people" and others, the series "Leningrad during the war" (1942-1943).

From 1918 — participated in exhibitions. Exhibited: the Community of artists (1921, 1922), Petrograd artists of all directions, the original drawings of the Petrograd book of signs (both — 1923), Russian book of signs (1926), "Graphic art in the USSR. 1917-1928", jubilee exhibition of fine arts (both — 1927), "Art ex libris" (1928), "Woman before and after the revolution" (1930) in Petrograd (Leningrad), "Russian book mark" in Kazan (1923), "Artists of the RSFSR for XV years" (1933), "Heroic front and rear" (1943) in Moscow and others. The participant of many international exhibitions, including book exhibition in Florence (1922), the exhibition art-декоративных arts in Paris (1925), "the Art book" in Leipzig and Nuremberg (1927), "Contemporary book art in the international media exhibition" in Cologne (1928).
