YASEVICH Kazimir Antonovich

Painter, graphic artist

From a noble family. Before enrolling in the Imperial Academy of arts he took private lessons of painting and drawing; has taught art in provincial city schools in Mogilev. He studied at the Imperial Academy of arts (1833-1836). In 1836 for "Portrait of the Canon Gentille" was awarded a small silver medal and released from the Academy with the rank neklassnogo (free) artist.

Lived in St. Petersburg. Worked as a portraitist, has created the image of the Church; was engaged in the restoration of the painting. In 1840-х on behalf of the IAH and the judiciary carried out the assessment of works of art sent to sale for debts. In 1849 for "Portrait General-адьютанта count Osten-Сакена" and "many years of work in the artistic field" recognized "designated" in academics. In 1859 awarded the title of academician. From 1861 работал in the Mosaic workshop of the IAH.

was an art teacher in the 2@and 3 ndashй-й St. Petersburg gymnasiums.

Works are in several Museum collections, including the State Russian Museum.
