studied at the Moscow Art School. VISurikova in Moscow, in 1953 entered the Moscow State Art Institute. VISurikova at Faculty of Painting. In 1956 joined the Leningrad State Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Repin, worked in the studio of Professor EE Moiseenko.

In 1960-1961, after graduation, he worked on the island of Spitsbergen. In 1962 admitted to the Union of Artists of the USSR. In the 1960's - 1970's traveled extensively in the Russian North, visited the Kola Peninsula, Taimyr Peninsula, Chukotka.

For a series of works devoted to the North, was awarded the silver medal VDNH USSR "For merits in development of national economy", medals "For the construction of the BAM and the State Prize of the RSFSR. Lenin.

In 1964 and 1968 published his book "In seven inches from the pole" and "what" about the life of the North. Participated in many group exhibitions.

In 2004, the State Russian Museum held a solo exhibition of the artist, dedicated to his 70-year anniversary. In 2006-2007 took part in the exhibition Moiseenko students in the halls of St. Petersburg Union of Artists.
