Studied the И. Г. Мясоедова in Poltava, then moved to Moscow and studied with 1923-1930 В. А. Фаворского in the printing Department of the VKhUTEMAS — the Institute.

he Lived in Moscow; was friendly with М. М. Аксельродом. He painted portraits, landscapes, genre scenes; worked in technique of oil painting, tempera, gouache, watercolor, sanguine. The author of the watercolors: "Theodosius" (1928), "the Cannery. Theodosius" (1934), "Girl-айсорка" (1936), "Barges on the Moscow-реке" (1936), "Miskhor" (1937); pictures: "self-Portrait" (1924), "the Girl-татарка" (1928), "the old Woman" (1933); series of gouaches "At the farm of Adygea" (1928); paintings: "Alupka-Сара" (1935), "Mimosa" (1938), "Blue coffee pot" (1938), "Mimosa" (1938), "still life with a book" (1939). He performed sketches of scenery, curtain and costumes for the play "wailing Wall" Л. Х. Мизандронцева in the Moscow Jewish theatre.

From 1932 — participated in exhibitions. He exposed his works at exhibitions: "Artists of the RSFSR for XV years" (1932-1934), 1-й exhibition of watercolor painting by Moscow artists (1937), all-Union art exhibition "industry of socialism" (1939) in Leningrad and Moscow.

he Taught at the art Studio for working youth in Kharkiv (1919-1921), the Moscow art Institute, technical College of the Goznak, Moscow architectural-строительном Institute — MARCHI (1932-1940), 1933-1934 — assistant at the Department of drawing at В. А. Фаворского.
