In 1916, together with AA Radakovym worked on productions cabaret "Halt comedians" in Petrograd. In 1918-1921 took part in the agitation design of streets and squares of Moscow and Petrograd.

Together with SN Makletsova, KL Boguslawska and IA Puni fulfilled linocuts to the album "Heroes and victims of the revolution" ( text written Mayakovsky). In 1919, created the album "Modern Russia" (unpublished). Appointed Professor at the free workshops. In the same year worked on the design sketch for the play by V. In 1922-1923 - member of the Association of new trends in art. In 1924 helped in the design of production S. Radlov "Lucrezia Borgia". In 1928, created the costumes and scenery for the play VP Kataev "squaring the circle". Kozlinski - one of the most prominent masters of the national charts 1920-1940's. His works are easily recognizable, however, they are perceived as a characteristic phenomenon in the art of his time and can be put on a par with the works of his contemporaries - VV Lebedev, VM Konashevych, D . G. Efros and many others. The flowering of creativity Kozlinski occurs late 1910's - 1920. In his satirical drawings, posters, linocut, executed in an expressive manner, sometimes sharp grotesque manner, he was able to create images that accurately reflect the era of the first postrevolutionary years.
