from the worker's family. He studied at the Ryazan apprenticeship (1906-1913), Penza Art College. ND Seliverstov (1913-1918) in NF Petrova and I. Goryushkino-Sorokopudova, Petrograd State of free art workshops (1918-1920) of I. I. Mashkova.

lived in Ryazan (1920-1922), Moscow (1922). Engaged book graphics, exhibition design, photography. In 1920-50's worked as a draftsman, watercolorist, only in the 1960's turned to easel painting. He painted landscapes, portraits, still lifes.

Since 1918 - exhibitors ( "Exhibition of paintings, sculptures and art industry" in Ryazan). Participated in international exhibition "The Art Book" (1931-1932) in Paris and Lyon, the exhibitions "Moscow artists during the war" (1942), "Artists of Moscow to the 50 anniversary of October" (1967). Held solo exhibitions in Moscow (1946, together with DC Deineko, 1968, 1978, 1989), Dubna (1972), Penza (1973), Ryazan (1984), Tula (1987), in 1984 -- 1986 was a traveling exhibition of works by the artist in the cities of the Soviet Union.

taught at the Working Art Studio in Ryazan (early 1920). As an artist and the director put 4 plays for the Ryazan theater. In 1930-1941 worked as chief designer magazine "USSR in Construction" (1937 edition was awarded the Grand Prix at the World Exhibition in Paris). Served as illustrations for children's books (along with his wife OK Deineko), designed the album "Red Army" (Moscow, 1940).

participated in themed areas of central Moscow for the holidays on the theme: "blooming", "MTS", "White Sea Canal, Volga-channel", "Metro" (1933-1934, jointly with N. A. Musatov and BA Rodionov), "Abundance" (1937, with DS Moore and S. Ya Sen'kina).

devised projects design exhibitions: "Five-Year" (1931), "Victory of the first Five-Year" (1932), the press department of the Soviet pavilion at the World Exhibition in Paris (1937), Ryazan hall on VSHV (1939), the department of exhibitions "Electronics and Communications", "Fighting for Peace" at VDNH, "Moscow Socialist" (all - 1954-1959). Collaborated with the Society for Cultural Relations, by order of who designed the exhibition "The revival of Donbass", "32-th anniversary of the USSR", "Higher Education in the USSR" in Europe and the USA.

During the Great Patriotic War was engaged in a poster. In 1950 received a patent for an invention method of chemical coloring pictures.

author of the book "Fundamentals of Composition in Photography" (Moscow, 1929).

Troshina works are in many museum collections, including the State Tretyakov Gallery, Pushkin Museum im. Pushkin and others.
