he Studied at the Sverdlovsk art school (1949), the Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture named after. И. Е. Репина (1949-1955) А. А. Мыльникова, В. М. Орешникова. Completed graduation picture — portraits "the artist's Mother" and "Girl in white"; at the graduate IZHSA (1958-1959).

he Lives in St.-Петербурге. Author thematic paintings, portraits. Author of painting works: "the Graduate" (1949), "Athletes" (1953), "Portrait К. В. Скоробогатова" (1956), "October wind" (1957, silver medal at the world exhibition in Brussels, 1958; several variants), "Girl in blue" (1959), "Girl in black" (1961), "Portrait М. А. Рыкачева" (1965), "Portrait Г. А. Вильда" (1966), "Portrait А. А. Фридмана" (1967), "Portrait А. Д. Зайцева" (1969). In 1973-1977 — chief editor of the publishing house "Khudozhnik RSFSR".

From 1949 — participant of exhibitions (Sverdlovsk art exhibition in Sverdlovsk). A member of the Union of artists of the USSR. Exhibited: all-Union art exhibition in Moscow (1957); of works by Leningrad artists (1956, 1958, 1961, 1964, 1970), "Exhibition of portrait" (1959) in Leningrad and others. Participated in several international exhibitions: World in Brussels (1958) and Montreal (1967); in London (1959), Cairo (1959). Held a personal exhibition in Leningrad (1959).

he Taught at IZHSA (1959), head of the laboratory of painting technique and painting materials (1959-1977), a head of personal workshop (since 1976), head of the workshop of restoration of paintings (1977-2009), Professor of painting (from 1984). PhD (1968); thesis "the Preservation of works of oil painting on canvas and features the soil structure". Honored art worker of the RSFSR.
