SEGAL Simon
Painter, graphic artist arts and crafts
Biographical information about the artist scarce.
Until 1925 he lived in Russia, worked in the studio beginning artists. Later received a technical education, worked as an engineer.
In 1925 he emigrated to France, settled in Toulon and took French citizenship. Wrote suburban landscapes, portraits, scenes of rural life. In 1933 he moved from Toulon to Paris. With the success of a solo exhibition held gouaches on themes of war in the gallery "Bié-Worms. Exhibited his work in the salons of Independent, The Tuileries, May and the Autumn.
During the Second World War, lived in the department of Creuse, later - in the department of La Manche. I created designs for carpets.
