From a family of hereditary artists-иконописцев and builders of Church buildings. He studied at the school. Member of the Civil war on the side of the army of the Ukrainian national Republic, was taken prisoner, in the early 1920-х was released.

I was in school А. Х. Новаковского (1925-1927) and workshop П. И. Холодного (1928) in Lviv. On behalf of fellowship of Metropolitan А. Шептицкого executed copies of portraits of Ukrainian hierarchs XVII–XVIII centuries in Vilna, and Volhynia. And copied the works of old masters in art museums of Rome, Florence, Dresden, Vienna, Paris (1928). In Paris he attended the Academy of Р. Жюлиана and the School of arts and crafts (1928), where he mastered the art monumental.

he Lived in Lviv. He painted landscapes, still lifes, portraits, compositions symbolic-аллегорического content. Created a series of portraits of Ukrainian princes and hetmans "the Rulers of Ukraine with princely times" (1931-1932) in the style of neoprimitive, Byzantine art and the Baroque. Engaged book graphics, performing drawings for Christmas cards (1930-е).

he Worked as an assistant П. И. Холодного in the painting of the chapel of the Lviv theological Seminary, completed from sketches П. И. Холодного mural at the Church of the assumption in Lviv. Together with М. Дмитренко created the project of painting the Church in the Town.

In 1939 после the occupation of Lviv by the Soviet troops moved to the city of Kolomyja, in late 1943 вместе family moved to Vienna.
