In the State Russian Museum on June 2 will open the exhibition "the Circle Petrova-Водкина". The goal of the exhibition — to present one of the outstanding masters of Russian art of the twentieth century in the uniqueness of his creative consciousness, which included a special vision of community and understanding, which he expected from his companions and disciples.

In the circle Petrova-Водкина" in different years were included Pavel Golubyatnikov, Nicholas Jonas, Israel Lizak, Vladimir Malagis, Vyacheslav Pakulin, Alexey Pakhomov, Alexander Samokhvalov, Peter Sokolov, Leonid Chupyatov and many others. They all passed the course Petrovo-водкинской "science of seeing" and was able to become independent masters.

the exhibition presents about 200 paintings and drawings from the collection of the Russian Museum, the Museum of the history of St-Петербурга, Nizhny Tagil Museum of fine arts, Moscow Museum of modern art, Science-исследовательского Museum of ARTS, State Museum of fine arts of the Republic of Tatarstan and other museums and private collections.
