Today at the State Russian Museum opened an exhibition "Russia. Realism. The twenty-first century". The exhibition presents different ways of development of the realistic tradition in the works of contemporary Russian artists working on the verge of academic art, photorealism and other variations of this trend that emerged in the last decades of the twentieth century. The exposition consists of works of known, predominantly of young painters and graphic artists of St. Petersburg and Moscow (Alexey Belyaev-Gintovt, Ekaterina Gracheva, Vadim Grigoriev-Bashun, Alexander Dashevsky, Frol Ivanov, Denis Ichitovkin, Taisia Korotkova, Kirill Koteshov, Olga, Pavel Otdelnov, Ekaterina and Igor Pestova, Vladimir Potapov, Vitaly Pushnitsky, Kerim Ragimov, Hamid Savkuev, Victor Safonkin, Maria Safronova, Mikhail Khazin and others).
