Today Stella Art Foundation opens exhibition Alena Kirtsova " Grayscale ". Kirtsova - one of the most serious and subtle Moscow masters of abstract art. Pupil of the legendary artist Vasily Sitnikov (1915-1987), she started her artistic career in the mid- range of the underground 1970 - x . Moving from figurative to abstract manner , Kirtsova retains the internal consistency of creativity for many years .

Stella Art Foundation represents the third part of the " exhibition of the triptych " Alena Kirtsova . The first two were called " Handbook of color " (2006/2007) and "North" (2010) . The relationship of the parts of the triptych artist herself identified in verse : " Color excites the childhood . /But for a long time already : the restrained , the - captivating . " Thus, the first - almost the entire color spectrum , it clearly systematic completeness . Then a sharp and clear - demonstrative compression threads geographically (north) and formal (as "realistic" image and object to their minimally abstract matrix) horizon. And finally , now - " Grayscale " : the final statement is extremely restrained , removes all unnecessary. Stage light intensity , conceals the sum of all colors .

born Alain Kirtsova in 1954 in the village of Barentsburg (o- in Svalbard ) . In 1973-1975 studied painting at the private school an underground artist Vasily Sitnikov , Moscow . In 1986-1987 was one of the founders and a member of the amateur association "Hermitage" , Moscow . In 1993 co-founded the Foundation "Utopia" , Moscow . Lives and works in Moscow .
