In Radischevskaya museum exhibition " Russian original graphics end of XIX - the first quarter of the twentieth century." In the Russian artistic culture of the turn of the century art graphics has become one of the most interesting and relevant phenomena. The so-called " beautiful " chart connecting language features two kinds of fine arts , painting coloristic sonority combined with characteristic clarity chart contours and rhythmic richness of the composition. This reflects the sign of the time trend for the synthesis of the various arts , the search for new expressive possibilities of traditional techniques .

These trends are reflected in the activities of the association " World of Art" that emerged in the St. Petersburg soil 1898 and lasted until 1924. Miriskusniki aspired to a wide range of application of their creative talents : in different areas of graphics, easel and monumental painting , flourished in this era of theater and decorative art .

Creator "World of Art " was Alexandre Benois (1870-1960), graphic artist, painter , theatrical designer , a distinguished art critic and art historian . His landscapes Basle in 1896 almost monochrome in color , dusky -rainy , full of romantic mystery. Close to them poetic "Pavlovsk" , created after a quarter century and reveals one of the favorite topics miriskusnika - the picturesque surroundings of the northern capital . Albert Benoit (1852-1936) - elder brother Alexander , one of his mentors in art. One of the closest associates of Alexander Benois for " The World of Art » - Mstislav Dobuzhinsky (1875-1957). Alexander Golovin (1863-1930) - an outstanding theatrical designer , played a crucial role in winning artists ' co-star " in the theater. One of his masterpieces is the design of the scenography of the opera "Carmen" by Georges Bizet (1908) on the famed Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg. The artist managed to make popular in those days, the play freshness and originality, combining acute sense of living reality , light and air with festive decorative .

Anna Miasoyedov (1871-1955), who visited more than once in Venice, was subdued by her beauty , has created a series of Venetian views. The museum landscape like she saw the beautiful Venice through the prism of the native " pearl " of St. Petersburg , depicting her silver-gray , with softened outlines , as if shrouded affectionate, gentle haze .
