In the Yusupov Palace, an exhibition of over 300 pieces from the Hermitage - coins, paintings, drawings, books, subjects PDI reflecting state, military and tribal heraldry Russian Empire XVIII - beginning of XX century

Under the family coat of arms and the imperial eagle ", organized by the State Hermitage and Yusupov Palace in the 400-year- anniversary of the Romanov dynasty. The exhibition is the second in a series of "The World of the Russian Nobility ».

About 300 exhibits from the Hermitage collection reflect the state, military and tribal heraldry Russian Empire XVIII - beginning of XX century . Patriotic heraldry presented in numismatics , paintings, drawings, books , objects of applied art. Many of the exhibits on display for the first time .

The section on state heraldry, history affected Emblem of the Russian Empire. Coronation items and ordinary crockery " with the arms " allow us to trace the evolution of the image of the Russian double-headed eagle . Album pages in honor of the coronation reproduce royal regalia and ceremonial order of the procession. Among the exhibits are allocated shaped costumes and attributes court officials , including rod and herald chamberlain keys that were once symbols of certain court duties .

Many of them were together in kinship and Prince Yusupov even intermarried with the Imperial House. They all got their own titles and emblems in the XVIII century , passing from generation to generation ancestral traditions and customs .
