The second exhibition from the cycle «Slovak photography XX - XXI century» ( first exhibition was held in January - February of this year ) Central European House of Photography brought together works of different generations of photographers, Slovaks, removing the three periods of our history. About the authors of:

Juraj Shaymovich (Juraj Sajmovic, genus. 1932, Piešťany). In the years 1951-1955 he studied in the specialty «Photograph» Graduate School of Artistic Crafts in Bratislava, in the years 1956-1962 - kinooperatorskomu skill in the Prague Academy of Arts FAMU. Alan Gizha (Alan Hyza, genus. 1964, Nitra). Gizha began its journey in pictures, being a student of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Comenius University in Bratislava, then worked as a photographer in magazines Vecernik, Praca, Sme, Pravda. The longest time - until 2005 - worked with the weekly Plus 7 dni, which has the largest circulation in Slovakia. Currently Gizha - an independent reporter.

Gizha belongs to a group of young reporters who emerged in the nineties. After the fall of communism in 1989, a time of freedom, these young people sought to return the photographic reportage photography ethical pathos. New authors have violated the existing bans on them to appeal to the themes of the Church, poverty, ethnic minorities, are not afraid to express their critical attitude to the various national myths.
