Finalists Kandinsky Prize 2012. Of the 35 works nominated by an international jury selected six finalists - three works in each category.

This year, the Kandinsky Prize is awarded in two categories of the "Project of the Year" prize (40,000 euros) and "young artist. Project of the Year "(10 thousand euros). The total prize fund in 2012 will amount to EUR 50 000.

At the 2nd stage of voting, which took place at the exhibition of nominees, members of the international jury after full-time acquaintance with the works of artists Finalists Prize. Each of the members of the jury voted personal list of three nominees for the works. The finalists were members of the highest number of votes.

Kandinsky Prize Ceremony 2012 held on December 12.

Contest winners from among the finalists in each of two nominations by roll call vote to select members of the International Jury. Voting takes place on the day of the ceremony no earlier than 2 hours before the ceremony of awarding the Prize.

All voting procedures are under the control of the auditing company Ernst & Young.

Robert Storr, an art historian, art critic, artist and curator, dean of the School of Art at Yale University, USA;

David Thorpe, an independent curator, UK;

Vasily Tsereteli, art historian, Executive Director of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Russia.
